Reviews about "pantry"
Return to all Reviews- Former Employee★★★★★
Pros
A lot of learning, freedom, and hands on activities. There also is a huge pantry with free breakfast/lunch foods. Everyone that interned there also had the opportunity to earn a full time position through the Start Program.
Cons
Aside from the other interns you really don't have interaction with anyone else in the office (which is pretty large)

Pros
Pantry with free food/snacks, bonus structure
Cons
No opportunity for advancement - the job you are hired at is the same one you will do forever

Pros
There are nice people at BBNA, but it is getting thinner and thinner. Nice pantry (mostly junk food though) and nice office.
Cons
Calling it legacy is being nice. Most of their process is antiquated. CEO and sales leadership esp in the Tax group need to get out, sales team moral is low, sales managers seem desperate and unhappy. There is detriment in being in a company for a long time, because really, what do you know? Old processes and "this is how we've been doing things" - is the most dangerous mentality to have esp in this market. Mr. Bloomberg, wake up and start trimming the fat!

Pros
Some of the BNA people and some of Bloomberg people are competent and caring people. Decent benefits and pantry was nice.
Cons
Company does not support or appreciate its operations roles. Management was more interested in telling a story to further their own advancement than build a better product that people want. This created a backstabbing and unprofessional culture.

Pros
A huge pantry and some nice people. But too much changes and a lot of office politics
Cons
Not a good place to work
- Current Employee, more than 8 years★★★★★
Pros
Great company, pantry and snacks are great
Cons
Busy and have to cover shifts often.
- Former Employee, more than 5 years★★★★★
Pros
Pantry, some coworkers are great to work with
Cons
Working hard and being creative does NOT get you ahead here. This company is the worst in terms of politics and pettiness. This company spends more time reorganizing than producing anything, just to avoid upper management ever having to be accountable for anything. It's all a charade! In general it's no better than the cliques you find in high school. Upper management holds everyone to different standards than themselves, and the president is the worst! Game playing is the rule, and being a good employee is meaningless. It's a wonder they make any money the way most people here behave.

Pros
Lot's of friendly people, and the pantry is nice
Cons
Very demanding from the top down. NOT enough support to do the work that's needed, so everyone is stressed and very unhappy. Several visitors commented it was the unhappiest work environment they'd ever seen. The company is way too top heavy, with executives who contribute little and offer no support. Everyone else is stretched way too thin and quality of work suffers because of it. Lot's of red tape to get anything accomplished and Bloomberg and HR demand a lot of time doing crap work which keeps you from accomplishing anything.

Pros
Sleek work environment, snack pantry a definite perk
Cons
No upward mobility, management changes priorities often leading to confusion
- Current Contractor, more than 5 years★★★★★
Pros
Off-hours shifts if you don't want to work 9-5. In office pantry is pretty nice.
Cons
not great for mobility. Management is terrified of the union and accepts poor work ethic for some employees.
