I worked at Bloomin' Brands full-time for more than a year

    Pros

The corporation really knows how to take care of their employees. Upon hire, you go through a rigorous and thorough training for almost every type of position you can hold at the restaurant. Since I was training for a management position, I trained at a different restaurant from the one I would actually be working at. They paid for all of my travel expenses to get to the new training restaurant, and covered the cost for the America's Extended Stay Hotel suite that I lived in for several weeks while I was training. Once I got to my new restaurant I felt very welcomed at ease. My fellow coworkers were very professional and I admired their integrity. They have VERY strong company values, and they make that very apparent at all times. The compensation was fair in comparison to the market at the time. The compensation package was outstanding! Full medical, dental, vision, and a 401K package.

    Cons

I honestly can't think of any cons at the moment. The only thing I would have liked to have seen implemented for the managers would have been a rotating schedule throughout the month so no one would get stuck working every day of every weekend. It would've been nice to occasionally have off on a Saturday or a Sunday every once in a while.

I worked at Bloomin' Brands full-time for more than 10 years

    Pros

Leaving work at then end of the day.

    Cons

"Do more work with less" culture. Abusive and discriminatory management practices. Unethical and illegal business policies. Drug addict employees. When Bloomin Brands shifted to offering coupons as a business model, the demographics of our concept considerably changed leading to lower profits. Lower profits decreased management incentive plans (bonus).
