    Pros

    transfer-ability, reliable transition of necessary.

    Cons

corporate and cutthroat. they have it pared down to the necessary dollar, and you won't have really exceptional pay here, even as management. as in all restaurants, hourly compensation is rarely enough.

    Advice to Management

Recognize hardworking individuals, give more vacation.

I worked at Bloomin' Brands full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Great discounts on their restaurants. Great party's and quarterly meetings.

    Cons

I was a huge fan and really liked this company for the first couple years. Unfortunately it's not what it used to be and LOTS of politics. There's a facade of great potential and personal but it never comes to fruition. I think they just try to get the most out of you then move on. They're always trying to add more people to replace current employees but it doesn't make the teams better, it just makes for a volatile work environment. I hope management sees this and heeds my advice below.

    Advice to Management

    - Be honest with your employees, don't just try to pay lots of money on the next shiny learning plan to develop your people. Good managers will do that for you.
    - Don't pay exorbitant amounts of money to retain your dissatisfied employees. They're all leaving because of other things wrong. People aren't all money motivated like you think
    - Be fair to all your employees across the board. No more politics. We all know people at Bloomin' Brands get promoted way too fast for reasons outside of their resume. If you're a top performer it's not the best employee experience when you see that....and we all do

I have been working at Bloomin' Brands full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Food comps and office parties. They actually do a lot for charity.

    Cons

They legitimately thought that they could attract and keep top talent by, get this, letting you wear jeans. Lol! How about stop laying people off every 6 months? How about stop letting toxic managers run departments into the ground? How about learn to communicate with each other? Diversity? Training? They’re banking their future on Delivery and Brazil... they will fail because incompetent leadership who know nothing about Delivery. Plus Brazil is nothing but civil unrest. It’s sad to see such potential go to waste... smart people are getting out now. And no, I’m not going to work 60 hours a week on the reg... I have a life.

    Advice to Management

Implement 360 reviews, bring in Delivery experts, get rid of toxic managers, get a better app, stop cutting corners. I could go on...

    Pros

Smart people working for the company. Perks is discounted food

    Cons

Continuous layoffs, never know if your neighbor has a day off or has been fired.

    Advice to Management

Leadership and integrity come from the top down. Would like for people to understand how toxic and paranoid are with their roles within the company. Motto is keep your head down and work. Do not think outside the box or take any risks. Not a thriving or creative work environment.

    Pros

Great company ran like a private organization. Good people, heart and atmosphere of fun. Good pay, decent benefits, growth mode which is exciting. Feeling of camaraderie and everyone is in it to win it

    Cons

due to growth mode systems can be a challenge both IT and policy but the overwhelming sense of "we are in this together" from top to bottom completely makes up for the areas the company lacks in way of technology.

    Advice to Management

Keep moving in the direction you are going and continue to keep an open entrepreneur type mindset.
