I worked at Bloomin' Brands full-time

    Pros

Fantastic corporate culture, good pay and benefits, overall a great place to work

    Cons

Struggles to compete in a challenging industry means that they have tried to reinvent their business models to keep up. Over the last few years, a consistent stream of reorganizations and deep cuts to corporate staff have made many employees nervous. The tension is felt at work every day. You'll love working there, as long as you still have a job tomorrow.

    Advice to Management

Prioritise you business initiatives around the people who made you great to begin with and don't sacrifice headcount to the gods of VC funding. It was people and not steaks that built your brand.

I worked at Bloomin' Brands full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

    Great co-workers
Corporate comp card for meals at the brands

    Cons

    Annual layoffs.
50 - 60 people laid off each year in November, just in time for the holidays 8-(
After the layoffs those of us who remain have that much more work to do.
    Until we quit too.
Or until contractors are hired to replace those who were laid off.
Not a place for a career.

    Advice to Management

You cannot reorganize yourself into success.
You need to treat people as your Ps&Bs state.
You are ruining the lives of loyal people whose only mistake was that they trusted their upper management to be as loyal.
