    I worked at Bloomingdale's full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Flexible work schedule, able to balance work and play!

    Cons

Always pushing Bloomies accounts. Which I get, and when done correctly can offer some real savings to customers. However, it is not an accurate reflection of performance.

    Advice to Management

Get rid of that darn draw vs commission!

    I worked at Bloomingdale's full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Draw against commission is very tough, you have to be used to it. Staff is very competitive and have been there for years. Management doesn´t watch your back, all they want is to meet quotas. Terrible atmosphere and culture, just about the money! Colleagues steal your sales, right there and then, Unbelievable.

    Cons

Great location, good benefits, awesome discounts and sales, o.k. cafeteria. Aventura Mall is a good Mall to be at.

    Advice to Management

take a look at your people! Team work will meet your quotas even better, not this cut throat atmosphere. Try it! Draw against commission ild old and outdated, it just doesn´t work, customers feel awkward and invaded, they just leave and will go and buy somewhere else. Take care of your people, it is about time!

    I have been working at Bloomingdale's full-time

    Pros

Some co-workers have become like family, lasting relationships formed over the years. Quality products. Very good discount and benefits available.

    Cons

Other co-workers steal your sales. Because their sales numbers are good they get additional benefits like making their own schedule. They work more productive hours, reap the advantages getting even better sales. But break the rules to stay on top. What are they giving away to stay on top?

    Advice to Management

Treat everyone fairly, stop the favoritism. Don't make employees compete against each other, encourage them to work together toward store goals.

    Advice to Management

    Management was great.
