I worked at Bloomreach full-time for more than a year

    Pros

There is a lot of intelligent engineers. You can learn from others if you are just starting your career. Free lunch few times a week Closer to Caltrain

    Cons

One of the company values is "no drama". But, the CEO is full of drama. Other company values just exist on paper. It used to be a vibrant place, but it went south after co-founder CTO left. When a co-founder leaves to found another company, that tells a lot about future of this company. No career growth.

    Pros

people not holding any title are nice free food tgit flexible timings

    Cons

cto left the company results change in culture, no innovation going away from its cultural values not engineering centric. culture of favoritism all engineering leaders and senior engineers left the company. few inexperienced engineers driving the engineering. they are more focused on their promotions and try to make upper level happy. transferring work to offshore office/india for cheap labor new head of engineering/CTO doesn’t gel well with people not worried about people leaving, no effort to stop people

I worked at Bloomreach full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Friendly colleagues in the workplace. Good culture. Work life balance is good Free food everyday Workout classes are a good plus

    Cons

CTO left earlier this year to start his own company. Abysmal engineering management. No career development opportunities for engineers and managers do not care. Engineers who get stuff done are not being rewarded. Top staff and principal engineers have left the company, causing mediocre talent with little experience running critical systems. Junior engineers with very strong opinions build mediocre systems. Layoffs causing even more confusion within employees and the morale is extremely low. No more learning opportunities. Best days of the company are behind it.

I worked at Bloomreach full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Great talent. Very smart and easy to work with people. Good work life balance. Amazing perks.

    Cons

Not a lot of innovation after the CTO left the company. Company is struggling to get to profitability. There have been a lot of budget cuts eventually leading to lay off of 20% of the workforce. Not a lot of importance is given to career development of employees.

    Pros

Good perks (free lunch) Good work/life balance People are friendly

    Cons

Mediocre product in a competitive market. No innovation. CTO left earlier this year. Engineering management is toxic; managers play favorites and competent people are not rewarded. As a result all early and senior employees have left. Mediocre people building mediocre product lacking innovation.
