    Cons

Lack of camaraderie experienced at smaller companies. Everyone kinda keeps to themselves.

I worked at Blount International full-time

    Pros

Supportive management, easy production metrics, no mandatory overtime

    Cons

When they have temp workers, they keep them as temps for a long time, sometimes years without hiring. Many potential good employees come and go.

    Advice to Management

No bonuses and small pay raises

I have been working at Blount International full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Blount has compedative pay, educational aid and I like having a set schedule. Clean, safe work environment with room for advancements.

    Cons

Once was a great family atmosphere, now it's all about profit. People, including myself started working here with every intention of being a "lifer". Now it seems like it is seen as a stepping stone.

    Advice to Management

Consistancey! Blount employees generally feel like they are give information, but never what they seek. Also rumor control is not our strong suite. In my experiance the floor has run ramped with gossip way before the company shares any information. VERY harmful to moral.

    Pros

Great co-workers. Great team. Great experience through projects.

    Cons

I worked at Blount International full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Large company with a small business feel. This is a great place to work.

    Cons

Communication during change or transition periods could be cleaner.

    Advice to Management

Over-communicate during transition periods and times of uncertainty. Even if it's only to say I have no new information at this time.

I worked at Blount International full-time

    Pros

Free coffee, hot cocoa, tea, workout room

    Cons

Don't appreciate the workers as much as they should. Add a bunch of middle managers and upper managers but get rid of lower down people that do the work because we have to cut back the budget.

    Advice to Management

Keep the people that are doing the work!

Offers some flexible time although that changes any moment.

    Cons

No recognition of hard work. Boy's club. Poor HR. Worst IT department ran by military background leaders with similar approach.
