Mostly nice people. Unsustainable company with weird politics.

Not many. The rallies were nice. Pre-IPO employees enjoyed Silicon Valley-style perks like daily prepared meals and IPO shares. There is good room for advancement if one is interested.
Cons
Cold miserable work environment. Daily frostbite, repetetive motion, weird aches and pains, high turnaround. Having to dress like Nanook of the North when it's 80 degrees outside. One has to be somewhat desperate (which I was). The daily existential crisis of wondering if what you are doing is actually of any benefit to the world. Unsustainability: Since Blue Apron, the original meal kit delivery company, launched they incurred about half a dozen competitors for what is a finite, niche market. Heck, even Martha Stewart is in on the action now. Their main competitor out of Germany, Hello Fresh, was so brazen they set up a fulfillment center just down the road and stalked me with ads via Google and the iOT just because I frequented my place of work (they thought I was a customer apparently). Oh, and lastly, I did not appreciate being forced to stay late and stand motionless in that freezing environment to give a moment of silence to a violent drug addicted criminal thug (George Floyd).

Excellent place to work

- Collaborative and team-oriented work environment - Wide accessibility of management - Super sharp employees throughout all departments that contribute to my own skills and knowledge - Great energy; everyone seems to enjoy what they are doing on a daily basis - Clear message of mission and vision from the top down; working for a company that has a positive impact makes my work more meaningful
Cons
- Very challenging; you need to have confidence in your experience and abilities to fully appreciate and contribute to each team and the company as a whole - Employee benefits could be improved to include a 401K
Thanks so much for the positive feedback! Employees are the core of Blue Apron and we love hearing that you enjoy our collaborative team environment. As we grow, we are working to improve our benefits, since we recognize how important something like a 401K is to our employees.

Provides free lunch They provide a insulated jacket Breaks are on time and everyone goes together and comes back together A few positive people Potential to grow Great place for those who can't find a job Felons/ cons or just regular people Quick money but it's not much They press the safety issue all the time ( note to whoevers reading: this is my opinion and what I saw and experienced. I was a temp there and the job ended. But I'd say don't knock it until you try it :)
Cons
Really cold and you can't get warm not matter what you do Not enough money to work in that environment Negative people People act like its high school and don't want to work. Will leave you at your station to do work by yourself Immature and most people there have no goals in life People have there own clicks and if you try to join the wrong station they will talk about you and then have you moved to a different station for no reason Oh and don't get a cold while working there you will never get over it unless you take time off, don't keep working Yeah there are people smoking and popping pills or whatever on there breaks. People come and go, a revolving door kind of job Watch out for the train when coming and going, it's a drag Dress in layers, bring a scarf, beanie, gloves. Dress like your going to the snow lol and hand warmers help

The "associates", if you will, (non-management positions) are mostly wonderful, smart, supportive people. Snacks Blue Apron discount
Cons
Profit-over-everything became the clear approach since a few months before the IPO and it definitely affected the culture and work environment There is very little recognition and it relies mostly on whether you're liked or not. They started an evaluation process that is very hypocritical and one-sided, assessing performance in relation to the display and application of company's values when achieving your business goals, when none of those values are displayed towards, or in the benefit of, the employees Very little equality and almost no diversity, especially in upper management C-Suite is horrible at managing expectations and this stems from very poor communication Morale is very low and there is a pervasive feeling that there is no interest in improving it
