I have been working at Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts full-time for more than 9 years

    Pros

Put the power in associates hands, lots of empowering programs

    Cons

Sometimes difficult to get good chances for new jobs within, without phone experience.

    Advice to Management

Give more options to learn more without the use of the phones.

I have been working at Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts for more than 9 years

    Pros

Strong customer service company. They treat employees overall well. Work environment is warm and pleasing. More often they hire for positions from within the company. They do a lot of internal teaching. They do give tuition reimbursement for multiple degrees. Works well with the communities in Massachusetts.

    Cons

Though they do a lot of internal hiring, it seems one must have phone experience. If no phone experience then some sort of college degree in specific area.

    Advice to Management

Give better ways by means of education for non-phone associates to obtain new positions. Offer more ways to obtain a new position. If associate asks for more information as to specific job and skills needed to obtain job more information is given.
