Amazing Company Limited by Not-for Profit Status
Jan 18, 2023 - IT ConsultantRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
Tenure is Amazing of most employees here and the Past CEO was phenomenal in representing the customer and the business. New CEO starting in 2023. The HR is accommodating and friendly. They are very forthcoming with Job expectations and what it takes to succeed. Matrix management makes for lots of room to move around once you get out of the entry level roles.
Cons
If you do not make a strong first impression or show initiative you can get stuck. Not so much a con as it if proof of your ability to work hard and show your strength. Once you have moved on it becomes easier to try new roles and flex into your own but the entry level can turn into a dead end or burn out if you are not diligent about moving on. The Salary is very tight since the company presents as a Not -for Profit Organization. This came make salary discussions difficult. This is not to slight the company but the wadge gap in MA does not stand up against the cost of living/housing in MA. The salary is livable with partners or roommates but not alone.

Non profit company
Mar 29, 2023 - Data Entry Specialist in Boston, MARecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
401k is phenomenal. Benefits, time off, wellness offerings, inclusive, caring, flexible, beautiful campus, COMMUNITY, great cafe, associate loan options, tons of career opportunities and growth available. Friends.
Cons
PAY. Way below market for tenured employees. Its great for entry level pay, but takes years to make enough to buy or own a house, have kids, save for retirement, etc. Tenured employees are forgotten about. The health insurance offerings are subpar, nothing special for being an insurance company.

Don't know which is worse IT executive leadership or subpar HR department
Oct 26, 2022 - IT LeaderRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
IT executive leadership team thought me how not to be a leader. Thanks! IT infrastructure team is good and has good leader VP of IT.
Cons
I will keep it to the point based. This is solely based on on my experience. 1. CIO- has not demonstrated the ability to run an IT shop. All talk, no action. Afraid to making meaningful changes. Hires, fires and repeat. Really haven't put out any priority or implemented changes. 2. As another review states, absolute waste of portfolio funds. Mostly spend on outsourced vendors who have very close relationship with executive team. Some former employees these vendor companies. 3. Where is HR? seriously, they are quick to Hire and fire people (especially those who joined new) but isn't taking a moment to reflect on symptom. It is an ineffective IT executive leadership. Period. 4. Promotions are based on who you know, plenty Sr. Directors with titles that doesn't make sense. Goes back to option #2, 3 .... HR who? 5. Outdated technology, learnt nothing that would help me in my next role. 6. Quick to fire people especially those who joined new. Yet, those who were promoted by executives with ambiguous roles can stay. Again... HR who?

No weekends Working from home option
Cons
Leaders treat you as if you were in the military. They offer work from home but do not trust you to do the work. They are constantly checking on you and questioning where you are, even when they can actually see your screens and know that you are working. They make you feel like your best efforts are not good enough. Do yourself a favor and look for a better work environment. I got recommendation letters from previous managers as proof that I am a responsible professional. There is a reason why they offer a bonus spread out through your first year and after you finish their training, because they know they are not treating their employees correctly.

Pros
It is a great company to work with, Great benefits for associates.... Tuition reimbursement, Student loan help of $75 each month...
Cons
The leadership isn't good. You are rewarded by getting more work instead of getting a promotion. When asked about it they state budget, but continue to hire more and more people upon the team. They do not want to see you grow or provide more money
