I have been working at Blue Cross Blue Shield of Minnesota full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

I have been employed at blue cross for 2 years now and I have had a incredible experience. The benefits are inexpensive and couldn't get any better. We get 20 hours of volunteer time off and there are onsite group fitness classes that I am able to take over lunch. Also, 401k matching AND a pension plan!

    Cons

    n/a

    Pros

IT salaries are good; flexible work schedules are available, including full and part time telecommuting. Management in IT is pretty good.

    Cons

"Reduction in Staff" process will eliminate 90% of the IT jobs by 2019, which means there isn't much opportunity for current IT employees or perspective employees.

    Advice to Management

Think again about the impact of eliminating so many IT jobs.

I worked at Blue Cross Blue Shield of Minnesota full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

There is plenty of work to be done here.

    Cons

They left Lotus Notes over Microsoft Exchange. Its sad really. I really like Lotus Notes.

    Advice to Management

They do fine but they don't have the management staff enough to follow up with all their employees to get to the next level. Some employees are happy with that.
