I have been working at Blue Cross Blue Shield of Minnesota full-time

    Pros

The overall compensation and benefits are good.

    Cons

The management lack qualifications and genuineness. Management including director managers to staff/employees do not support and take care of their employees. Management appears to only care about what leaders above them think and their own image and how they will climb the ladder.

I worked at Blue Cross Blue Shield of Minnesota full-time

    Pros

    Good Benefits. Nice coworkers too.

    Cons

"Making a healthy difference in peoples lives". Who are they trying to kid. If you are a Benefits purchaser for a company and have Blue Cross MN administer your benefits.....wait til the shoe drops in your rate increases. They are poor stewards of your valuable health dollar. Research how well they have done on the administration of the Government business they stole from UCare. While they lay off Blue Cross employees they outsource to other Blue Plans because The Blues MN cannot get it done. See how many jobs they are hiring for with Anthem. They do not value long term employees, they say they do but they really do not.

I have been working at Blue Cross Blue Shield of Minnesota full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Pay is good, benefits are good, and the requirements for caliber of work are incredibly low.

    Cons

Mediocre work is the standard and employees do not like to try new and innovative things. Majority of employees are waiting to retire and do not care to change the way they are currently working. Culture is slow and unmotivated.
