    Cons

Nothing negative to say, I enjoyed my time with Blue Cross Blueshield. A little better pay would be nice. Some weekend hours not welcome.

I worked at Blue Cross and Blue Shield Association full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

    Pleasant work environment
Fellow workers are helpful and warm
The message is definitely positive for diversity
Managers mostly clued in to their teams needs and provide solutions

    Cons

As anywhere, aggressive managers/directors still get away with everything, to a point. This essentially rolling over previously good relationships and ruining much, and no exaggeration. The staff never recovered though the director was removed.

    Advice to Management

People will pretend everything is fine and do their work best they can with this type, though always fearful. This quickly degenerates and valuable staff are lost. I think Human Resources could make an effort to raise awareness about these issues. Fear prevents forward movement. Fear of reprisal still exits. Staff splitting occurs creating volatile situations. Most unfortunate. It was the best I’ve had in 20 years.
