I worked at Blue Cross and Blue Shield Association full-time

    Pros

Amazing people and a great environment. There was always work to do. I would walk in the front door and be greeted by everyone I see.

    Cons

The only con that I can think of is that I wasn't challenged. Everything seemed to be a little too easy and I love a challenge.

    Advice to Management

I felt like I was jumping from one project to the next. The management needs to find a project that will take longer than one day to complete. This was not a major issue, but it could improve employee satisfaction in the long-run.

    Pros

Good breadth of experience, good pay

    Cons

Old school managers reluctant to change. Lot of say one thing but do another. Need to work on employee retention. The good hires all leave because they see the inept that runs throughout the organization

    Advice to Management

Look to cultivate your hires instead of putting them down the basic track you had to when you were younger.
