I have been working at Blue Cross and Blue Shield Association full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Good breadth of experience, good pay

    Cons

Old school managers reluctant to change. Lot of say one thing but do another. Need to work on employee retention. The good hires all leave because they see the inept that runs throughout the organization

    Advice to Management

Look to cultivate your hires instead of putting them down the basic track you had to when you were younger.

    Pros

Great pay and benefits. They really have a great training program to get you where you need to be work wise

    Cons

Highly understaffed. The call volume and expectation is crazy. There is hardly any room for growth within the company and you seem to be stuck as a phone agent the whole time.

    Pros

They pay based on experience with is Awesome and I revived top pay but some of the previous reps where up set

    Cons

It was real great to work there but then they change the quality scoring chart and my quality coach to someone new and I was done

    Advice to Management

I would not hire quality coaches with attitudes issues and don't speak while walking in the hallway

    No opinion of CEO

    Pros

Contractors are paid well and there is a lot of work to be done. Sense of community between contractors.

    Cons

They could treat contractors better. Some are very overworked while others sat there doing nothing and getting paid for at least a month. Pretty flimsy reasons for letting people go and little opportunity of getting hired full time.

    Advice to Management

    Provide better conflict management

    Advice to Management

    Listen to the workforce.

    Cons

the other departments show favoritism and local upper management only cares that you make "their" site look good.
