I worked at Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Louisiana full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Fairly stable company in a market that no other insurance companies seem to want to enter, casual dress

    Cons

Toxic work environment, lots of silos, bosses play favorites, below average pay, old and outdated equipment and systems, resistant to change, overall boring work

    Advice to Management

Gut the VPs and management of people that refuse to create a cooperative, dynamic work environment. Remove toxic leaders and create long term commitment to ACTUALLY improving the health of the state.
