Reviews about "good benefits"

Pros
I see a lot of great mid-level managers, the best in fact. It is the least stressful IT department I have worked in. Benefits are good.
Cons
Upper management doesn't have visibility into what actually happens on a day to day basis. Plus, executive management is constantly making decisions that make everyone scratch their head and say, "What just happened?" or "Why would they do that?" There are a lot of people who have been working here for a long time, and they like their "cushy job", so they basically find ways to NOT work. This is so prevalent that it's embarrassing. Most people find at least one person on a team that they use as their go-to contact that can help them get stuff done. Everyone else just collects a paycheck. There is also a serious lack of trust and communication between the business and IT staff. This mostly comes from having a middle man "business engineering" department that shouldn't even exist. It creates a serious communication gap between the business and IT and only allows for further distrust of IT. It also allows for things to be created/changed outside of the change management process, so their is no over site, communication, or control.

Pros
Good Benefits and great co-workers and great manager.
Cons
Nurses are not paid fairly compared to others in the company. They have different roles and responsibilities within each area and some areas require more knowledge and skills than others but that is not looked at. All nurses are put in the same pay grade no matter what. Management has tried to change this but HR does not listen.

Pros
Decent pay Good benefits Weekends off Workout facilities and personal trainers are available for free.
Cons
Expensive insurance benefits Employees are punished if they can't take their breaks on time. It is unrealistic at times as the call volumes are very high. If you work in customer service, you are looked down on when the customer service employees are the heart of the company.

BCBSLA offers great benefits that ultimately aids in good employee morale. There are multiple career opportunities within the company. This company also offers ongoing training for employee development.

Pros
- Benefits are good - Campus is decently clean - On-site cafeteria - Once you're hired you have to be completely incompetent and obvious about it to get fired. - Coffee is stocked most of the time
Cons
- Once hired incompetent people are never removed unless they do something that warrants the wrong kind of attention - Rodents and other pests inside office/break areas - Best way up the ranks is to get another job outside and then back into the company

Pros
Some of the benefits are good.
Cons
Very little opportunity for advancement. Raises and bonuses have been done away with. The place is very much run like the state these days.
