    Pros

Free or Discounted health insurance benefits

    Cons

-No work life balance -Little to no room for advancement (it takes workers in the call center 5-7 or more years to get to other positions in the company that are not related to the call center despite having certificates, advanced degrees, etc.) -The majority of minorities are placed in places such as call centers, correspondence, mail room, pre-auth, etc. despite having advanced degrees -Call center and other places listed above has severe burnout and high turnover rates due to strict strict strict scheduling, unbearable stress, inconsistent audits/auditors, errors on audits, pop up rules that you no longer need to follow weeks later, micro-managing -Very difficult to take off days even if you have PTO (emergency situations are no exceptions) -Mandatory over time (call center) for open enrollment regardless if you have other jobs after shift is over, have to pick up children after work, other obligations after work...they do not care

It was the worst job that I ever had. Management is very poor.

    Pros

Blue Cross offers great Benefits, flexible hours, extensive Training

    Cons

Management is very poor, & don't know or try to learn the work Manager & Supervisor retaliate if you ask questions in meeting. Human Resources don't help in any way if you have a problem with management. Put negative things in your file six months after you resign. Doesn't care much about their employees Not much room for advancement unless you know someone

    Pros

Cafeteria and gym onsite. There are a lot of employee appreciation events throughout the year. Casual dress code during summer months.

    Cons

No a lot of room for upward growth for career minded professionals. Company operates in silos. Budget cuts to training.

    Standard RN Pay Bands

Jan 13, 2021 - Registered Nurse, BSN in Baton Rouge, SC
    Recommend

    Business Outlook

    Pros

Most enjoy the culture and the majority of employees are content.

    Cons

All RNs are viewed the same regardless of experience, certifications, skills, etc. Pay bands/grades all fall within the same job family and there is no room for growth or negotiation of base salary other than assuming people management roles. Culture claims diversity, but most C level roles are still filled by white males. Entry level roles are where the organization is 'diverse.'

    Pros

    Benefits are great, family oriented

    Cons

People are 'given' positions they are not qualified for leaving no room for people who are actually qualified. Employees are not given a chance to explain when a mistake is made.
