    Pros

    Blue Dot is a very energetic fun place to work. The company is very flexible with hours and time off.

    Cons

    Blue Dot and its customers would really benefit from some additional staff in certain departments. It can be difficult to work around schedules for holidays, vacations, and sick days. Although communication between departments has improved dramatically there is always room to grow.

    Advice to Management

    Understand the needs of the employees and help provide the tools for them to be successful.

    Pros

    Most employees mean well and have a heart for helping customers. (I’m just filling up the 20 word minimum here.)

    Cons

    The GM is abusive emotionally and mentally to all but one employee. Everyone is afraid to speak up or even say hello in the hall for fear of retaliation. Totally unapproachable.

    Advice to Management

    Training on leadership and healthy work environments will increase productivity, reduce sick days and safety issues, and reduce turnover.

    Weekly Pay and paid time off

    Stress, management, work atmosphere, ignorant and drama filled employees

    Advice to Management

    Look in the mirror, you lie and cheat and steal from customers and while you work a 7 hour day, you force employees to work 70+ hours a week. You refuse to let them go home until you have a ridiculous amount of calls scheduled that the techs cannot even run. Stop being petty and be a leader. None of them would know what being a real leader feels like, they are speeding out of the parking lot at 4pm while the office staff is stuck there until 9 or 10p.m. This place is an absolute joke. DO NOT WORK HERE OR CALL THEM TO SERVICE YOUR EQUIPMENT!!!! If you buy a unit from them and have a warranty they will push you off for 5 days to freeze but will go to a customer paying cash the same day. Working there was the worst 3 years of my life. I had a manager tell me that work was more important than my family, hahaha!!! This is blue dot in a nutshell.

    I have been working at Blue Dot Services of MD full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

    Paid for my education and training to become a Journeyman HVAC. They always have work available daily, and was paid weekly.

    Cons

    Very unorganized and communication with employee and customers is poor. Management has no control, and no one takes accountability for their action

    Advice to Management

    Need to be able to have better communication and make progress within the dispatch department and build a better relationship with their service department

    Everything else. Obvious favoritism from management

    Advice to Management

    Communicate and stop talking poorly about employees to other employees. Stop pressuring technicians to lie about their diagnosis to sell new equipment. Be a manager by leading and assisting your team instead of telling them to "make it work" as they leave for the day at 4pm and the employees are left without guidance until 9pm.

    Opportunity for advancement, amazing team mates, opportunity for bonus $$, fun at work while still getting the job done, diverse group of people, currently striving to be a better business all around... one that our community love and trusts!

    Cons

    A tad unorganized at times, but they are currently working on it!

    Advice to Management

    Lead by example. Be there when your people need you. Don't do so many meetings.

    Refund 100%on schooling if you pass with a hundred. Lower the grade .. lower the refund.

    Cons

    Some of the workers are childish

    Advice to Management

    Put the work in. Stay neutral.. in time you will move up.
