    Pros

BFM is a great place to build a career. The company is filled with smart people doing interesting work for a wide variety of clients.

There is tons of room for advancement within BFM and high-performers are rewarded.

Great benefits, pay, flex time and PTO policies.

    Cons

This is fast growing company and as a result things change quickly. If you are looking for a place to "hang your hat" this isn't the place. BFM adapts very quickly to the fast pace of technology and employees are expected to work hard to keep up.

    Advice to Management

As the company matures think more like a start-up to further accelerate growth. Don't rest on what you have done always keep looking forward.

I worked at Blue Fountain Media full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Very congenial working environment, my co-workers and I shared many ideas and concepts that made us all perform better. Managment expects first class service, but is very encouraging.

    Cons

Working hours can be late and demanding at times, but that is what I would expect.

    Advice to Management

Provide more opportunities for employees to spend time together and bond, it will make the company more productive.

I have been working at Blue Fountain Media full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Tons of exposure to both established brands and startups.
Opportunity to work with really talented people.
Great place to learn a lot about online marketing.
    Fun working environment.
    Never a slow day
    True team mentality
They recognize you company wide for doing great work.

    Cons

High volume agency with lots of clients (some smaller accounts that can be major time drains)
    Never a slow day!

    Advice to Management

Although it's a great environment to learn from seasoned industry professionals, it'd be great to promote formal company-wide training. The digital landscape is ever-evolving!

    Pros

The Talent is Incredible with an array of diverse, personalities to match.

I've met some of my closest friends here and have formed Solid Relationships with my other colleagues and clients as well.

I enjoy the Flexible Work Schedules (thought in my role, it's hard to take advantage of this) and the Open Door Communication Policy; The management staff wants to see Positive Growth and encourages the entire company to be a part of that.

    Cons

For a long time BFM has been in, what feels like, a constant state of change.

However, I have seen this change turn into evolution. I've see how this company has been able to adapt to new technology, client and industry demands and have enjoyed our consistent growth.

This environment is not for everyone; BFM has been weekend getaway for some employees, a launch pad for other, but it has been and still is a long-term home for many.

    Advice to Management

I love bagel Mondays, but would like it more if we had a bagel toaster.

    Pros

The best and brightest come together in teams that inspire the best out of all around them. Fun work environment that is professional but not at all stuffy or corporate. Work hard play hard is the ethos.

    Cons

Long hours. If you are a 9-5er then the best digital agency in the biz is not the place for you.

    Advice to Management

Let step the coffee game up.

    Pros

    • Smart, ambitious colleagues
    • Good variation of low, middle, large budget projects
    • Empowered work culture - but must be a self starter
    • Great Midtown location
    • Good opportunity to strengthen skills

    Cons

    • Necessary reorganization causing growing pains
    • Typical long hours of the agency world
    • Siloed org structure discourages team mentality (being addressed by reorg)

    Advice to Management

    • Reduce and simplify your service offerings
    • Focus on top-tier accounts to produce award winning work
    • Move to new office to have everyone back under one roof

I worked at Blue Fountain Media full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

There aren't any pros at Blue Fountain Media.
The location of the office is fine as there is a 20 word minimum.

    Cons

The CEO does not have the industry knowledge necessary to grow the agency. He screams and yells at people.
Sales people are paid a stipend and tell clients anything to close a deal.
It's a dated, backward place with no cutting edge website design.
It's a clique, and you don't want to be a part of it.

I have been working at Blue Fountain Media full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

The company is located centrally in the heart of manhattan which makes for a good commute. Also good restaurants near the office.

    Cons

Its impossible to work in a company where the ceo manages finances like his personal checking account, hovers over your projects, and bombs meetings with clients. The ceo and his team have no regard for business acumen, or know how to build a relationship. As a salesperson it's really hard to keep seeing project after project fail. This company charges hundreds of thousands of dollars for websites that don't even launch and for marketing projects that don't get results. It feels like theft! All a salesperson or account manager can do is keep putting out fires just to save face. It can be really depressing and has led to me losing many friends and business relationships because of it.

    Advice to Management

Employees will never stop writing reviews here until the world's most unqualified ceo leaves bfm. Stop trying to post fake reviews just so you can keep this sweatshop running. You should take all that money you don't share with employees and run far away before all the bad relationships you've made with employees and clients come tearing down what so many dedicated employees help build for you.
