I have been working at BlueGrace Logistics full-time

    Pros

They hire cool and friendly individuals. You will love your coworkers.

    Cons

    Management is awful.
    Pay is terrible.
    The training team is joke.
They hire outside instead of promoting within.
Refuse to fire under preforming leaders, will instead layoff that leaders employees cause when all the employees under one leader are failing then it is the employees fault right??

    Advice to Management

Being loud or funny does not make you good a leader.
If you read any management article you will immediately start thinking to your self that your manager does everything backwards to the way it should be done.

    "Carrier Sales Transportation Department Review"

I worked at BlueGrace Logistics full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

    - Comfortable Bluegrace swag
    - Beautiful Corporate Office
    - Clean (wipe down wednesdays)
    - Culture caters to 'millennials'

    Cons

    - The 'Embrace Chaos' core value is taken completely out of context and applied to everything
    - The new COO in transportation Mark Ford is awful. I really could go off on a tangent but won't. Normal change in management problems, not following through with promises made, bringing on employees that he used to work with and making them managers, telling new employees not to worry about booking loads and just to make sure that their call stats are up & then FIRING those same employees for not booking enough loads, etc. etc.
    - Managers want to be your friend and follow you on Snapchat until the end of the quarter comes around and all of a sudden they want to start acting like managers.
    - Playing favorites is a thing here
    - Clique up with the right people or get terminated for not being a 'culture fit'
    - If management likes you and you're not performing well in your job, they move you to another department - if not they terminate you at 5pm on a Friday
    - Work 7-5 M-F 10 hour shifts with 1 hour lunch break (That may be a pro for some people - but for me it was a con)

    Advice to Management

    - Freight Friend updates should be handled separately from booking loads
    - Managers should act like managers at all times & not only when it benefits them
    - Bobby the CEO = VERY COOL & always preaches about how much his employees mean to him: I don't think he is aware of how poorly the transportation department is being handled right now. Before the change in management, I loved working at Bluegrace. I was very optimistic about all the new changes & freight friend, however, the transition has been painful and unproductive for both the employees in that department and Bluegrace as a whole.

    Pros

When you first start out their is a lot of sales training and logistics training. Overall it is a fun and competitive place to work, and most of the staff is very supportive.

    Cons

You will see a lot of turnover, and your managers will monitor you heavily. It gets discouraging at times when you get so many rejections, but that is sales.

    Advice to Management

My biggest advice to management is to be more adaptive to your training style. It gets very mundane at times.

I have been working at BlueGrace Logistics full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

You get a paycheck every 2 weeks.

The break room has a nice assortment of activities you can partake in while you may have a little down time.

    Cons

This place is a joke. They make up policies and procedures literally on the fly and that is the new rule of law until 10 minutes later a new policy is put in place by a newly appointed “supervisor”.

The place has the most cliquish attitude. If you’re not a part of the “in” crowd, then you have a bullseye on your back.

The “Supervisors” are a complete joke. Childish doesn’t even begin to describe the majority of them. They believe that being immature and inappropriate is a way to motivate. Newly appointed COO Mark Ford brought in some of them from a different company and the quality of the organization has plummeted. They implore you to work but do absolutely nothing themselves. Loud and obnoxious is the way like to operate , and if you’re not ready for that, please do yourself a favor and stay far far way from this place.

    Advice to Management

Get leaders in place that actually know how to lead. The loudest person in the room does not mean they know what they are doing and know how to lead.

    Pros

The hours are good, they will tell you that the job is a 9:00 to 5:00 but in reality is 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. Weekends off.

    Cons

You have to sit there and make 80+ cold calls a day! While dealing with the frat boys. If you dear to question anything at all? You are immediately put under a microscope, this job job does not care whether or not your are performing, if you go against their opinions you become a target. They will say that it's a based salary but in reality is a hourly thing.

    Advice to Management

Stop promoting people with no prior experience, coach them on how to be a manager, that way you won't be tuning a frat house.
