    I worked at Bluenotes full-time

    Pros

I worked with a great team and the dress code was very relaxed

    Cons

Very little hours to actually run the business. Huge visual moves each week (4 walls or more) with no extra hours to complete them. Often times I would be alone in the store because there was no hours to give to part time staff. So much paperwork to complete and weekly assessment of each PT staff member. No room for growth, upper management that did not provide any support except to come in for store visits and give negative feedback.

    Advice to Management

If you work for this company just get out, there are so many better retailers to work for!

I have been working at Bluenotes part-time

    Pros

good beginning job, fun employees and boss, cool to work in a clothing store, get to work with friends, get a discount, flexible hours

    Cons

cannot wear any clothes that have a different brand on them, if bosses suck work can be tedious, no room for advancement if a part time SA, pay is very low; even after working for over a year there I still get the same amount of pay I did when I started, discount is very low at 20%

    Advice to Management

be more chill, be more understanding, give a better discount, make better store music - ask employees what they want to listen to/let them choose some of the music, make room for advancement for part time employees if they have worked for a while, ex. a pay bump of $0.50 every three months of working there with no incidents

    Pros

Great company to work for. Open door policy with good organizational structure

    Cons

Very rigid pay grids with not a lot of wiggle room. Once you reach the top of your pay grid that's it, you've reached your max salary. Not much incentive to work hard and do a good job

    Advice to Management

Compensate your awesome and loyal employees FAIRLY as a reflection of the hard work they put into your company

I have been working at Bluenotes full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Positive work environment, friendly staff, low standards

    Cons

No hours to give out, backwards logic, maddening HR, cheap, only a 20% discount, poor communication to stores, promotions and visual moves that change literally by the day with no warning

    Advice to Management

Be prepared to do a lot of the heavy lifting yourself. You'll have next to no time to actually talk to customers with the amount of tedious paperwork and instructions being sent your way. And more often than not, they'll expect you to do it with only one part timer all day.
