I worked at Boardwalk Pipeline full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Good company and many excellent benefits. Boardwalk will reward for good performance. Good health care coverage, matching 401.
Room for advancement for performers. Management very accessible.

    Cons

With the upper management so accessible you are extremely visible too.

I worked at Boardwalk Pipeline full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Nice location and the majority of personnel have integrity and values

    Cons

VP of XXX is a bully and a bigot.

Never, ever use the "anonymous ethics hotline". I saw what happened to one individual that reported an ethics complaint, as instructed by the company top management. HR named names on the one who made the complaint. A few weeks later this person was fired.

I asked this person why there was no desire for a retaliation termination suite against Boardwalk. The answer, "an "in-power" bigot and bully does not DEFINE the entire company"

I worked at Boardwalk Pipeline full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Good benefits and decent pay if you get recognized for Admin promotions, but not many other opportunities for career growth.

    Cons

Longstanding communications & issues between departments, management and coworkers make admin job (time management & day-to-day tasks) very difficult to complete - late/delayed information, lack of / incomplete information, different answers from different sources and hard to get a response or pin anyone down for an answer. They expect the output but are very lapse at providing the info or tools you need to complete the work effectively and efficiently, then want you to go back and change things up after all the work has been put into it, so often reworking reports, etc. when a few minutes of communication & specific/detailed planning (w/admin)beforehand would avoid so much confusion and wasted time, but could rarely get their attention for 2 or 3 min. because they were always busy or in meetings, etc. which were priorities to them but would not take time to pass on to admins until after the fact when reports were coming due and there were still outstanding issues / unanswered questions.

    Advice to Management

Consider all admin part of your team and be more inclusive of info that increases their knowledge and awareness of details that may be pertinent to their work.

    Pros

Good people, friendly surroundings, approachable management.

    Cons

Location is bad and hard to get to unless you live close by. Not many food choices close by. Hard to get things completed in a timely manner....lots of hierarchy layers.

    Pros

Great people. They run lean but the people are very nice. Good benefits. I enjoyed working there. I would recommend it. The pipeline business is a stable industry

Location Not downtown. It's in Greenway I don't have a lot of cons to share. Sorry. A fairly small company.

    Advice to Management

    Nothing
