    Pros

Easy job low stress. Reasonable hours.

I have been working at Bob's Discount Furniture full-time

    Pros

Excellent customer service vibe, great pricing policies and a strong backbone system that backs everything up.

    Cons

Sometimes the delivery team can burn a customer experience and there isn't much you can do about it sometimes.

    Advice to Management

More employees/hours in the office would help with the incoming calls and customer issues.

I have been working at Bob's Discount Furniture part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Most co-workers, great headquarters, good pay

    Cons

Terrible management in store, very unprofessional.

    Advice to Management

There must be a reason you've lost MANY managers... I loved working for your company. But the management you've selected to run operations in Appleton was the ABSOLUTE WORST I have ever came to know.

I worked at Bob's Discount Furniture full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Your Co workers are amazing people going through the hard times with you.
Advancement is quick sometimes not deserving

    Cons

If you are looking for anything other then sales dont work here. Sale people are cherished above everyone else including managers and especially the hard working under paid office and wearhouse associates. Every year a celebration is held to honor sales associates and no one else is able to attend to also be celebrated. The training is a joke people are moved to management with no system training and can not perform the task to get their job done. They rely on the under paid office staff who usually has no advancement. New programs/policys/Incentives are rolled out with poor communication and no support just some one passing the buck until you figure out how to do it yourself. Upper management manages the stores through a spread sheet, your goals are not based on the current market you are in and what's attainable in your current area and store. Goals are set overall across 100 stores ranging from Connecticut a 27yr market to California 1yr market. They are required to produce the same results which is impossible and leave you feeling like a failure.

    Advice to Management

Just because someone can sell furniture does not mean they will make a good manager there are alot of other aspects to the job. There should be a check and balances when it comes to training. Communication is very important and is done improperly here.
