The place to be!
Mar 22, 2023 - Store Manager in Long Island-QueensRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
A lot of folks claim to have a family environment. Bob's lives this everyday. With the right leadership in place at all times it truly is a great place to work. Work life balance is very much a thing. Whether in MGMT or on the sales floor, there's opportunity to grow as well. Dependable scheduling. Great perks too. You get your birthday as a paid day off! Missing out if you're not apart of our growing team.
Cons
Genuinely can't think of any "cons".

corrupt corporate
May 18, 2023 - Sales Associate in Secaucus, NJRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
they offer decent benefits. expensive healthcare options but overall decent.
Cons
For stores that are not union are typically corrupt. Ive worked in 3 stores that were not union. Secaucus being the most high volume but also the most unprofessional and hostilework work environment. Management is not on the same page enforcing the floor guidelines/rules that help keep a fair sales playing field. There are sales people that have been with the store since opening that have a grave effect on what rules are followed or not and overide/ dominate management and HR overhead. Bobs HR does not support sales or office associates. They partner with management to enforce whatever favors management per store and their main jobs are to legally protect the company which means should there be any conflict with management or results following management involvement, its a loosing battle. Before you've heard back from or reached out to HR, management and HR already figured out how they want to handle you which makes things extremely uncomfortable, unfair and sometimes unethical. policy and procedures are there for show. following them is a complete different story and its completely legal to be bullied apparently. Depending on who you are and how you work, this commission based space thats supposed to pay you based on what sales youre capable of closing. Ive experienced being disadvantaged in having to add more undocumented steps into my sales process to appease other colleagues which pushes me backward making it harder to be a top earner which is something ive maintained during my time there. i wont be returning back.

Pros
Pay is great, although changing for the worse.
Cons
bonus structures are crippled. Q4 of 2022 and Q1 and Q2 of 2023 has seen nothing but negative change for associates, managers, warehouse workers and the overall structure of the "stores" increased workload, less pay, less help, office cuts, 3 manager buildings. the push to go "public" is extremely real and the changes that are being made are more than obvious.

May 22, 2023 - Guest Experience Specialist in Willow Grove, PARecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
If you work hard they pay well, and vacation time goes up by one week per year working there starting with one week of vacation your first year.
Cons
No cons really besides some toxicity from other sales people regarding who’s order is who’s even with the rules being described by the managers in great detail during training.

Great culture, friendly supportive atmosphere, nice product line
Cons
Working evenings and weekends. Holidays are work days as well. But these are common for any retail organization not specific to Bob`s.

The working environment is good( employees)
Cons
Management retaliation for using open door( that's how I got fired ) write ups back to back (racism) I was told I would be fired by an employee for using that open door policy on that particular manager.i went over him,got my way,got fired would love to explain in person.

Beware turbulence ahead. Don’t believe LindedIn culture.

Good pay if your making your bonus and depending on what store the hours
Cons
Culture. That’s the biggest buzz word. Bob’s falls flat. They believe it’s a cake or morning meeting on LinkedIn. Don’t really set any manager up for success. Conf calls on performance numbers constantly but no consistency. Change the focus bi-weekly on what number they want changed. All over the place, disorganized thought and messages. All at the same time condensing staff and putting more on all the managers. Less time to impact numbers. Every manager I know is miserable. As they prepare to go public no one’s job or pay is safe as they are trying to save money. Years ago might have been good but just a small company trying to get big fast and a complete mess well doing it
