    Positive Outlook

I have been working at Bob's Victory Grille full-time for less than a year

    Pros

Restaurant managers are a good group, mostly competent and pleasant to work under. Restaurant is very busy in a small market like Auburn Coworkers/Culture is great. Mild room for growth: raises for hourly employees and a corporate structure that can (sometimes) be climbed.

    Cons

Corporate (Aloha Hospitality) micro manages to the Nth degree and its almost always for the worse. Company policy of "3 table sections" makes the money pretty poor for a very busy restaurant.

    Advice to Management

Don't forget that there is more to running a business than making money. Turnover will remain unbelievably high when you treat your serve-staff as if they had no value whatsoever. No server has received a raise in the 9 months the restaurant's been open, employee meals/discounts/benefits should be getting kinder not stricter, and three tables makes sense on the weekends but that's pretty much it. Most importantly, its time to let go. 14 Restaurants can not be managed day-to-day from one office, let your managers manage their restaurants and you worry about the macro aspects.
