I worked at Bodycote Thermal Processing full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

The work was the usual Network Admin stuff

    Cons

Management is in the UK, and appears to want to centralize all the support services in one location.

    Advice to Management

    Check ITAR restrictions

I have been working at Bodycote Thermal Processing full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Some of the employees there are really good kind hearted, hard working people.

    Cons

Management is non-existence. Chaos seems to fill the seconds of everyday. No communications between managers. Lack of knowledgeable leadership. Support from corporate offices is inefficient at best, and when you can receive it.

    Advice to Management

Learn how to treat your employees with respect, do not overcommit to jobs that you are not sure you can deliver the product. Show/commend your managers on all the accomplishments they make happen on a daily basis with the severe shortages of adequate staff and resources.

    Pros

Leaving for better employer. do not work here

    Cons

Only use Temps for work. They only hire through temps, the U group. at the interview i was told my pay started at $15HR, but on first day i had to sign temp contract through U GROUP TEMP STAFFING. also told i'd be running furnace but was lied too. only thing they wanted was somebody to fill up racks with 9mm gun clips….unload 8 baskets and reload them again. 8,000 gun clicks in 8 hr shift…. Bodycote only pays $13 hr,

    Advice to Management

    check-mate! I won!

    No opinion of CEO

    Pros

Have good benefits and safety policies

    Cons

The company is a British owned company and the local management team is very weak. They ask you to evaluate the current status and then after you submit the data, they become affended. The truth hurts. Retaliation is number one in the book of tricks to make your life difficult. They go through Quality Managers like candy. Beware it's a setup from the beginning.

    Advice to Management

Executive management needs to get involved. They hire non-qualified plant level managers and when asked become irrational.
