I have been working at Bojangles' (More than a year)

    Pros

Great food and procedures. Stays true to quality.

    Cons

Work life balance is horribly uneven. No compensation for working over the paid 50 hours. Expects all managers to live and breathe Bojangles and work uneven, exhausting schedules. Constantly promised bonuses as part of the low salary pay justification but they do not deliver.

    Advice to Management

Pay salaried managers a fair wage since they are the backbone of the store's operation. Let them know they are appreciated and don't give an hourly more pay on a salary position just because they threaten to leave. Make it even with the ones who earned their job and stuck around.

    Pros

Long hours at times and challenging work

    Cons

-They barely train most of the emphasis is on training the managers
-The conditions can be hostile as your expected to perform well with very little training
-In the absence of proper training comes a bad work performance and hours began to get cut
    - Sometimes after a bad work performance they will hire someone that is better that will take your spot and you are left in limbo.
    - You are liable to work anywhere in the restaurant at any given time

    Advice to Management

Train your workers and work them towards their strengths not there weaknesses
And if you are to work their weaknesses dont pressure them.

I worked at Bojangles' full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

    free food, autonomy, overtime, bonus

    Cons

salary quote but only if you work overtime. Base pay hasn't changed in 9yrs, the only way to get a good salary is to work overtime. Insurance deductible for family is expensive $4k. Managers Do NOT get to sit down at all during their long shifts which last between 10-11 hrs, not even to eat because they don't get real breaks! They have to stand up and eat, if they get a chance to eat when it slows down! The only way to sit is in the bathroom on the toilet! Terrible!

    Advice to Management

Stand up for each other, as well as, yourselves and make upper management change their harsh treatment and policies. I'm sure that they get to sit down and eat their lunches!!
