I have been working at Bolthouse Farms full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Full time. Some overtime every week unless you ask for more, which may be given.

    Cons

Plenty of work and dedication for little pay. No incentive for advancement, or better way to put it no other advancement than supervisor and that’s it. Can’t jump to different field of QC unless you have a degree, which the company won’t help you in.

I have been working at Bolthouse Farms full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

you get enough hours to pay for bills. Medical, dental, and vision are very good benefits we receive.

    Cons

Hourly Pay rate is a joke for the responsibilties we take up and a mistake or two can cost the company thousands if not more in loss.
The rate you gain vacation and sick time is terrible. Other jobs have you make double in their respective tiers on how long you've been there.
The turnovers are neverending and since there isn't proper coverage, you end up working 12hrs multiple times over.
Working in Freezer temperature environment causes aches and pains through out your body.

    Advice to Management

    Employees need
    1. Higher pay rate per hour
    2. Better training
    3. More employees for coverage
    4. Respect for their employees

I worked at Bolthouse Farms full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

The company is very fast-paced, has a solid innovation pipeline and a can-do culture. The production line is always running, and there are exciting product launches every year. The company is employee friendly, and if you are in the early phases of your career, working here is a great opportunity to learn. If you decide to stick around and play your cards well, there are strong career growth opportunities. There is entrepreneurial mindset in several teams within the company, which is applaudable given that the company is 100+ years old.

    Cons

The company has substandard functional leaders. Project management and implementation is poor. The plant operational excellence is lacking because of a extremely poor and top heavy plant engineering team, the lesser said about which is better. Several innovative product launches have a tough time in the market because of package opening issues - the package design (or the lack of it) needs a lot to be desired. R&D has always been in a state of leadership flux - a couple of poor leaders from outside were hired, and were let go within 2-3 years of hiring, but several good employees left because of them. Things haven’t changed much even after Bolthouse became part of C-Fresh, perhaps because the parent company is equally in-adept in navigating market challenges. Finally, there is a huge lack of functional experience and a focus on grandstanding in the Marketing team.

    Advice to Management

Hire good functional leaders. Ensure executional excellence.
