I worked at Bombardier full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Nice people throughout the company, good salary and benefits

    Cons

President & CEO Alain Bellemare is always yelling, has created a place of fear and has complete disregard to his own spending even though company is financially stressed. Of all the CEOs I have worked for, doesn't spend much time at the office (leaves early or comes in late when he has no meetings). Not sure that would work for a regular employee. Toxic environment and very unprofessional. People have no work ethic (gossiping instead of working, no communication with co-workers, personal work during office hours, leaving early, etc). They offered me the position without testing my language and computer skills!

    Advice to Management

Time to roll up your sleeves and change the old culture. CEO's office should have a culture of collaboration and communication instead of creating a place of fear.

I have been working at Bombardier full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

Working with clever people, easy to work with and eager to make great products.

    Cons

It's a big company that knows its great, in an environment where employees are easy to find (low salaries).

    Advice to Management

Seek opinions from working levels before engaging with consulting firms. The employees at working levels are ready to share all kind of useful information

I have been working at Bombardier full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Flexible hours, autonomy and the change of direction in the company is extremely positive; bringing a more focused, analytical approach to everything they do.

    Cons

Sometimes suffer from being too big a company .The reaction time is slower than it needs to be.
HR is not your friend either.

    Advice to Management

Take care of the rockstars in the company.

    Pros

Very good work environment and ethic. People are friendly, more than average. Decent salary.

    Cons

Company's goals seems lost. Everything is good at the bottom but the upper management (directors, CEO, etc) seems to be lost and aren't sure where to go. Seems like the board of directors are a bunch of villagers coming to the city.

I have been working at Bombardier full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

    Low stress environment
    Friendly people
    Flexible hours
    Many benefits

    Cons

    no confidence in management
    an ever-changing company direction
IT is not well-funded (as it's a manufacturing company)

    Advice to Management

Stop contracting with third-party consulting firms with astronomical rates when the same job can be done internally for pennies. For a company that is constantly in debt, stop relying on externals and give confidence to your established employee base.

I have been working at Bombardier full-time

    Pros

Professional environment, Good Attitude working with other employees, reasonable wages, Good and high efficient products, Nice System, Valuable products with high quality, very professional stuff,

    Cons

Being a permanent takes long to have the full benefits and to be a part of that company, stability of work on aerospace in general depends on the economy so it is not stable to work in that field.

    Advice to Management

Go a head with professional plans you have to get the best of your employees and bring all plans to life, Be leaders is much better than being a manager. so I friendly advice whom acting as a manager to think about to be a friend to his employees.
