I have been working at Bond Group for more than 3 years

    Pros

Opportunity to work on strategic branding or digital development projects. Breaking new ground in B2B mobile solutions. Opportunities to stretch and grow your experience in if you are a self-starter.

    Cons

Small office and many wear several hats. Focused client base, could use some variety. Flat management structure due to team size.

I worked at Bond Group full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Great work-life balance, I used to leave at 5pm on the dot with no issues or flack from management. Stocked fridge. Employees are all very nice. Good short-term gig, great stepping stone. Small team so lots of opportunities to dabble in different medias and work semi-autonomously.

    Cons

You will need to stand up for yourself and defend your work on a weekly basis. One owner is a micro-manager, the other is a gas-lighter. Designers, prepare to have Joe stand behind you and tell you exactly what to do (or what 'he would do'). He's a nice dude, just a little overbearing. Cindy is whip smart, but can be a little petty. Neither Joe nor Cindy give very clear direction at the start of projects, but Cindy can be borderline abusive in her criticisms after the fact. Cindy and I got along fairly well, but even I can remember times when her feedback felt like she was gaslighting me. If you are incredibly confident, smart, thick-skinned, self-directed and more mature than the management, I think you'll be able to handle it...but it is one of the reasons their employees rarely last more than 2 years - no matter the discipline.

I worked at Bond Group full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Great opportunity for younger creatives looking to learn a lot quickly. Was given loads of responsibility, autonomy and the opportunity to work on a variety of projects. If you're looking to be a copywriter who just sits in a corner and executes the copy, this place isn't for you. If you want to dabble in content and branding strategy and often work directly with the designers to problem solve, apply now. Yearly review and raise opportunity. Rarely/never have to stay past 5pm.

    Cons

Lack of diversity in clients and work leads to feeling like you've plateaued after a couple of years. Not a ton of room for growth or breaking the mold. Only one copywriter so limited exposure to other writers/the writing community. Shoddy project management. Not the most competitive pay for level of responsibility.

I have been working at Bond Group

    Pros

    Easy street parking, fast paychecks.

    Cons

Ugh. I have never felt so out of place. The owner, Cindy, barely speaks to you or gives you any direction, then tells you your work isn't what she is looking for...? Ummm? How about a creative brief or explanation of something, anything? Oh...how about access to the internet??? The very small staff here are not friendly at all, except Jim. No one even said hi to me the first few days I was here. I have worked at several top agencies around the city and I have to say... this is where creatives go to die. If you come from an agency background, or even just a normal office, STAY AWAY.

I have been working at Bond Group full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Overall I'd have to say I've had a really positive experience working at The Bond Group. Cindy & Joe Bond are pleasant and professional, and they know a lot about the industry. In my first year of working with The Bond Group I was able to learn a lot of new design skills while still staying focused and true to what I do best. The size of the company allows employees to wear many hats and to gain great hands on experience. Hours and work life balance are great, and the overall management is very positive and nurturing.

    Cons

Due to the size of the company, I've felt as though it's been difficult staying connected to other designers and creatives. I guess that's the price you pay for working at such a small agency though, can't say I didn't know what I was getting myself into.
