I worked at Bonefish Grill part-time for more than a year

    Pros

Good training program, reasonable tip out for hosts. Great food and employee discounts on it.

    Cons

Customers consume an alarming amount of bang bang shrimp.

    Advice to Management

Corporate was doing a great job of rolling out new programs, so y'all just keep putting good proprietors and managers in charge of locations.

I have been working at Bonefish Grill for more than a year

      Pros

More responsibilities as a hostess/GSA at Bonefish Grill, but you can make $11-$20 an hour after getting tipped out by the servers! Usual hostess pay is around $12/hr at other restaurants!

      Cons

We also have to help pre-bus tables.

I have been working at Bonefish Grill for more than a year

      Pros

Depending on your location the management can be very helpful and assisting. You will often work with people you thoroughly enjoy. Honestly your experience at Bonefish will depend on how you interpret the day to day work and how you react to customers. The menu is also constantly changing so new ideas are coming in all the time.

      Cons

The customers can a real pain. They often do not understand the inner working of restaurants and will ignore restaurant etiquette. Best advice is to fake a smile and get through the shift.

      Advice to Management

Hire more employees who not only know how to hold multiple plates and take orders, but who are engaged in having great customer service skills as well.

I have been working at Bonefish Grill part-time for more than a year

      Pros

You gain hospitality Experience that you would as if you worked in any other polished casual restaurant. It's a valuable stepping stone in moving up in the restaurant.

      Cons

The armpit of the restaurant : in other words you do the most work in the front of house area with a minimum pay.

      Advice to Management

      Appreciate your staff more

I have been working at Bonefish Grill part-time for more than 5 years

      Pros

Family work atmosphere with lots of fun, good money, clear direction and constant support, lots of continuous training and high standards of performance.

      Cons

Any job working with people that is customer service oriented can be stressful, but with the support of management it's not so bad. I also think that senior managment (regional/JVP/Corporate) could be more involved, at least in our region.

      Advice to Management

Never forget that in spite of the stresses of the environment, it's important to have fun.
