I worked at Bonefish Grill part-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

You get 50% off meals , sometimes get to attend events / social gathering , meeting new people, and make new friends. It’s typically a place of diversity

    Cons

The company policy allows only 3 table sections. over staffing if often an issue as well as dealing with hungry customers or angry guest

    Advice to Management

Thank your employee's it goes a long way, promote or offer promotions to those who go above and beyond, get to know your staff it helps with the scheduling, don’t over staff or make cuts accordingly. Take advise from those who been working at the store for a while, don’t be afraid to ask for options. A happy staff is a successful staff and a better run business.

    Pros

50% off all meals, Co-workers were great.

    Cons

Rare chance of moving up, pay.

    Advice to Management

The management doesn't seem to have it together, they can never decided on anything and their communication is weak.

    Pros

Easy job. Can be fun if you like fast-paced work environments and hustling around.

    Cons

You're a little expendable, so unless you're a server you don't have much leverage

I have been working at Bonefish Grill full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

They give holiday bonuses, and a turkey for thanksgiving. Also, they do fairly well in regards to training. As a manager you get to eat free at any of the other concepts.

    Cons

The company lacks true direction. The hours are too long. They burn you out. The Quality of lífe Is awful. You cannot have a lífe outside of your job what so ever.

    Advice to Management

Cut back the hours for the work week. Go the extra step to take care of your people. Offer some kind of tuition reimbursement to help further your people.

    Advice to Management

3 table sections is not enough to make money, especially during the slow times of the year.

I have been working at Bonefish Grill part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    Great company to work for

    Cons

Scheduling for every holiday burns servers out-we are people, we like to spend holidays with our families too!

    Advice to Management

Create an A/B holiday schedule, with every employee assigned either "A" or "B" at time of hire. Every other calendar holiday switch between A and B employees to mandate who works.

I worked at Bonefish Grill part-time

    Pros

    flexible shifts/shift pickups, good menu

    Cons

unprofessional staff, low earnings, negative atmosphere

    Advice to Management

Impossible to make full time hours as FOH, impossible to live on less than full time hours. Pressure to cut labor means managers resort to deleting time or otherwise less-than-ethical practices. Company does not practice what it preaches.
