I worked at BookingGo full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    - Colleagues - Many of my colleagues were wonderful, loved working with pretty much everyone
    - Salary wasn’t too bad, could be better of course
    - Decent benefits - sick pay, pension, perkbox, discount on car rental and transfers, inexpensive lunch, good office facilities, central location

    Cons

Terrible and I really mean terrible leadership. It’s like from an American sitcom - Rideways leadership and ‘strategy’ was a mess. When I was working there, the strategy was changing almost every week. Projects were constantly being started, then stopped, then restarted, then canceled, then restarted, then paused and I can go on and on. At the end nothing ever got done and even when it did, it was of a really bad quality because of a lack of strategy and vision. Also leadership team’s attitude and lack of appreciation for people was appaling, people were scared to speak out.
The Rideways brand has a good potential but it needs a good leader... or at least a better one than what they have. In my exit interview I told HR about all the misconducts I’ve encountered, it was a total absurd! Shame for the many good people who left

    Advice to Management

I’d cancel all work and appointments for a week for everyone from Rideways and just work on a short-, mid- and long-term strategy.

    I worked at BookingGo full-time

    Pros

    Good commission opportunity
    Great culture and people

    Cons

    Pressurised targets
    Micro management
    No organisation in the company

    Advice to Management

Put less pressure on staff and realise what people's job roles are, if someone is hired for inbound then their job role is taking inbound calls, not outbound dialling.

I have been working at BookingGo full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Multicultural and up-beat environment. There is a sense of family and connection throughout the whole business. There is a lot of in-house coaching and training, allowing you to grow and expand to areas where you wouldn't have thought you would to begin with. Allow for a lot of new and interesting opportunities.

    Cons

Internal People Policies regarding fairness, a lot of the times when a situation is brought to the Human Resources Team, the outcome seems rather unfair and not fully addressed. Transparency when it comes to new roles application processes

    Advice to Management

Be unbiased and let go of "legacy" as an excuse to not allow fresh blood to succeed.

I have been working at BookingGo full-time

    Pros

Nice food, fellow employee and social scenes
    Company parties
    Updates from CEO
    Canteen staff are nice
Three buildings to work from and hot desk
Close with Call Centre ops so understand their woes

    Cons

Go to 5 different teams as don't want to deal on legacy work only on Aws or similar mind set
Not able to work from home realistically
Manager go to stand up to shout loudest to get the vms work prioritised?!! This not DevOps!!
No private health insurance of company this size
    Product groups keep changing
Not focusing on legacy apps and these tools are used daily!!!!!!!
Different rules for different teams and click on who gets windows or Mac no support for Linux (why not?!!) The architect get all the cool new shiny laptops- what about the Devs who have to work on the horrid codebase?!!!

    Advice to Management

Instead of focusing on more money fix your underlying code instead of giving to senior Devs who get fed up and leave company as you try to sway new hires with shiny instead of reward loyalty

More comms from technical less about call centre stats the csat score means zilch to most of the devs

Listen to feedback on here many people not happy and need to change super fast else loosing talent

    Pros

Regular updates from senior management from headquarters. Great office location, good supply of fruits, juices etc. Access to LinkedIn learning and a lot of people that are always trying to help even if the system we work with is old and creates problems. Schedules published on time.

    Cons

Really not much tangible benefits past the drinks&breakfast with fruits in the office. Inequality when you compare to the headquarters where they have a bunch more benefits that keep getting updated while the only thing for our office is to get us some food&transport discount via SALARY sacrifice (we’ve been waiting on that for more than 6months). Quite often there is a weird vibe in the office as some good agents get fired for weird reasons and there is quite a lot of people regularly leaving - for what they say are better call centers. The office feels to small for a call center, there is only 1 small private area to get away from computers for a bit and kitchen gets very busy.
