I have been working at Boomtown full-time

    Pros

--Very close-knit group of highly intelligent, fun, generous people.
    --Plenty of variety
--The opportunity to take merchants who are frustrated with technology and make them happy
--Always learning more and more about technology, both from coworkers and from having so many types of payment devices we support
--Management knows we're still learning every day as the company grows and the number of items we support grows. So they don't judge or get upset when we don't know everything.
--The chance to work from home.
    --Benefits are good.
--It's a company with integrity, so we can be proud of where we work
--Instead of Employee of the Month, we have Boomtown Badass. How fun is that?!
--And the most important "pro"--looking forward to coming to work each day

    Cons

--Changing schedules (but call centers are that way)
--Supporting sooo many payment devices that we can't possibly know enough and have to research while we're on the phone with merchants (but that's part of the fun, too!)

    I worked at Boomtown full-time

    Pros

    Relaxed office, cookies are provided

    Cons

Sharing an office with another company feels real weird, there does seem to really be a sense of caring about their employees, there is no growth paths. Additionally they undercut the wages for almost every position, to the point where people are hurting bad. Additionally, it feels as though in almost all departments the application of rules is inconsistent, where certain members of team are disciplined/scolded regularly for next to nothing, while other members of the team can skate by without a problem. Additionally there is next to no communication regarding lay offs or other negative portions of the business. Seems as though there is an attitude of sweeping unfortunate news under the rug. NOT A TECH COMPANY. Multiple departments are expected to work with no overtime due to almost everyone on the team being salary. This means entry level employees are working 10-12 hour days because there is no work/life balance.

    Advice to Management

Start treating employees like people. You have to also realize when you undercut wages in the way that you do, that people are going to either not try their hardest at their job or are going to pursue different opportunities. Also the disconnected nature of the two offices makes people feel like they're not in the office that the Executive team cares about. Cookies in the office aren't going to gloss over all of the other issues that are present, and the further you try to spread the employees you have without treating them properly, the more you're going to see people looking for other opportunities.

I have been working at Boomtown full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

The job is full of nice people and it is EASY. We have fun all day with Cornhole and Ping-pong. You can even work from home sometimes! Casual dress every day and no cubicles!

    Cons

The Breakroom does not have an oven or a stove. Only a microwave and coffee pot. There are some frustrating aspects of day-to-day with the use of the software, but not the end of the world

I have been working at Boomtown full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

The company, environment, people, everything is fantastic! Working many IT positions through my career and none have been more satisfying than Boomtown. They treat all the employees well, give all the employees the opportunity to peruse advancement and new venues.
Management is top notch, can sometimes be hectic but to be expected with a new growing company, but it's always well managed.

    Cons

The only con I would have would be location, Scottsdale is out of reach for a lot of people due to the cost of living around the company.

    Advice to Management

    Keep up the amazing work

I have been working at Boomtown full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

What an incredible and influencial team solving a very complex industry. I can confidently say I've learned more at Boomtown then I have anywhere else. The team is dynamic, courious and always willing to help lend a hand. Boomtown also believes in self-leadership and is constantly focused on how individuals can grow within the organization.

    Cons

Went through a short tough spell and the team hired a few wrong individuals. The company quickly learned from the mistake and put the right hires in place. Growing a company is never perfect, just happy we had the right executive team to take care of it quickly.

    Advice to Management

Keep up the good work and thank you for the incredible opportunity.
