    Pros

Customers were nice. Got paid on time. Wasn't physically abused.

    Cons

Egotistical trainers, who are more interested in going to hotels for meetings than actually training people.
Pressure to sell is impossible to correlate with integrity

    Advice to Management

Examine where your training budget is being spent.

I have been working at Boots Opticians full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

    70% off specs
30% of Boots branded products in store

    Cons

Promotion prospects consists of 1 Student Dispensing Optician position per region per year, If a manager leaves they will be replaced by someone sourced from outside the company so the management route is a dead end.
Pay is less than you'd get for stacking shelves at Aldi/Lidl
If you report a Bully the companies response is "if you take this any further neither of you will ever get a promotion"

    Advice to Management

your staff have no reason to work hard. The best members of staff are leaving as soom as opportunities arise elsewhere and the remainder wont have the skills/ability/motivation to try and reach the ever increasing targets.

    Cons

Never worked with a more shocking-arrogant, petty, selfish, condescending bunch of humans in all my life.

I worked at Boots Opticians full-time

    Pros

    Fees paid for professionals

    Cons

Hiring management from outside optics is the worst idea ever. They don’t have a clue what they are doing and challenge you on things no one with an optics background would ever do. So much nepotism and totally shaft anyone not in the inner circle ever when they have promised you and job and it’s pretty much your start date. Absolute amateur hour

    Advice to Management

Let your staff know when they have a done a good job not just what to do next to make more money. You’re meant to be health led but you do anything to make money even when patients can’t afford it.
