    Pros

Do important work for big companies. If you find a senior person to take you under his/her wing, you can carve your own path. Some opportunity for international experiences for those interested.

    Cons

Lack of pride in the brand among staff due to second-tier perception. Mergers over the past years have created tension in the organization, though the Katzenbach merger in particular was a plus.

    Pros

Overall good firm with new CEO trying to put Booz on right path. When business is good -- plenty of opportunity to go around.

    Cons

Lack of scale creates knee jerk environment when utlization is low. Leadership manages business 8 -12 weeks out... several Partners on management team lack leadership / mgmt skills. Poor communication from top down. Firm is having a bit of an identity crisis.

I have been working at Booz & Company full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

    Decent training and development opportunities

    Cons

Very clear distinction between client staff and support staff. If you're part of the latter you often feel inferior. Very different pay scales between the two. Not much upward mobility. Promotions are rare and your manager has to "make a case" in front of a committee in order for you to get even the slightest promotion.

    Advice to Management

Motivate employees, have employees socialize among each other, improve morale, improve trust among employees.

    Advice to Management

Find mechanisms to cull out partners that have retired, but are still there
