I have been working at Booz & Company full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Premium projects, great people, diverse client base.
You do fly as much at the Sao Paulo office as you do in other places around the world.

    Cons

Same as all consulting firms, long work hours and irregular schedule. There has been a firm wide effort to improve the work/life balance, which is much better now than it was in the past.

    Advice to Management

Keep up the good work and try to network with the lower levels more often.

I have been working at Booz & Company full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

The firm work with top clients, doing very relevant work.
Your development is also taken very seriously which is reflected at the many formal training sessions and assessment method.

    Cons

Long hours, probably within the "standard" management consulting.
Too conservative culture in some areas, such as diversity.

    Advice to Management

Just keep up the good work, Mainardi`s leadership is very strong, and he really knows how to build pride and confidence among the firm.

    I worked at Booz & Company full-time

    Pros

    Good Brand
Smart people, especially at lower ranks
    Interesting projects

    Cons

Too much politics, if you are new to the office you will get the assigned to the worst managed projects which will in turn impact your reviews
Rules not clear on how consultants are evaluated, very subjective process
Unprofessional in the way decisions are made regarding employees, top management doesn't care at all about personal or professional development
Some project managers are quite unprofessionals
    No Work/life balance

    Advice to Management

Set clear and more objective rules for evaluation
Be cautious of first/second project managers assigned
    Pay attention to feedback
    Evaluate objectively project managers

    Pros

very smart people at all levels. Most of all, it's a very collaborative environment, in which in you have the liberty to knock on anyone's (anyone's) door to ask for support and guidance and they will gladly give it to you.
Works very close with the client on assignments to make sure there is complete buy-in and full implementation.

    Cons

Long hours, as all other consulting companies I know. Very hard to build a faster career track even if you are a star consultant. Politics become extremely important as you progress in your career.
tasks and deliverables go through several rounds of review before approval.

    Advice to Management

During assignments, senior members should focus more on the key messages and analysis that we want to tell the client instead on knit picking on minor details on an endless process.
