    Pros

It is one of top consulting firms in the world and China. Its customers are almost all famous international firms. Its staff also all have a strong backgroud with MBA from world renowed business schools.

    Cons

Its work load is too heavy. You have to pay full attention on what you are doing and may word extra hours to finish your task. Because every interns will be rated by his /her supervisor, you have to work hard to get the chance to continue working hard.

Interesting work, fantastic opportunities, deficient culture

    Sep 8, 2018 - Consultant in Beirut
    Recommend

    Business Outlook

    Pros

The work is really interesting and the people are smart. The pay is awesome. The brand is unrivaled in the region. It's pretty much the best job you can get in the Middle East

    Cons

No work / life balance, managers expect total dedication. One size fits all culture, not much diversity in terms of background or ideas. Partners run the show in silos, not even sure you can even call it a proper company

Great place to work - but big price to pay

    Jan 7, 2010 - Senior Associate
    Recommend
    CEO Approval
    Business Outlook

    Pros

Pros - Smart colleagues, extraordinarily bright - Interesting issues from clients, big questions - Period of growth and expansion, lots of movement - Improvements in IC systems and other operations (long overdue) - Relatively transparent firm, introspective (global culture survey recently completed) - Reasonably good pay relative to peers

    Cons

Cons - 2009 was a year of no work/life balance, but 2008 wasn't much better - Leadership is too conservative and can overreact vs. being patient - Culture is clearly one of "work hard, work harder" / our competitors seem happier - Too much expectation to travel (a lot) regardless of whether there is value in doing so - Compensation seems to lag our chief peers (esp. bonuses) - Overall value proposition fizzles out as you get promoted - Up & Out policy is too rigid, hurts us during periods of growth
