    Good pay in a strong, steady industry that has been here for a long time and will continue to be here.

    Cons

    Culture of driving employees as hard as they can be driven without much concern for employee morale. Not a lot of effort placed on making a positive rewarding work environment.

    Pros

    old equptment, breaks down which creates plenty overtime,

    Cons

    lack of maintenance on mobile plant, managers must apply for funding to have mobile equiptment fixed or its not done ,not as big on safety as they make out they are, employee assistance = 0, very top heavy in management

    Pros

    Stable income and good job security
    Traveling gets you out of the office on occasions
    Some good people in the business

    Cons

    - Silo thinking is prevalent throughout the company.
    - Lots of dead wood
    - Poor workplace culture (bullying, low employee morale, careless middle management)
    - Boys club attitude - limited career advancement

    Advice to future graduates: look elsewhere.

    Lesser qualified middle managers are blocking younger talent in the company from performing and ultimately progressing upwards. Communicate better with all levels of employees.

    Pros

    Plenty of overtime. Benefits are decent. good for people who are able to multi task at all times. very easy to climb the corporate lader

    Cons

    No family life for salaried. uneducated, unprofessional and dangerous work environment. increased medical premium for no reason. very poor ventilation in the building. worker's
    safety is no concern.

    A great company with excellent personnel. Management was hands on and pro active.

    Cons

    ..Unfortunately I worked in a devision that was sold off without notice..Everyone lost their job. Years and years of experience lost for ever.

    Do not trust directors.They do not always work with the best interest of the company in mind

    Pros

    weekly income.
    close to home
    not much else going for it career wise.
    can be rewarding archiving goals but no recognition from upper management for hard work and efforts

    Cons

    under-payed.
    extremely under trained
    NO opertunitys to grow in boral for younger workers
    WORST IT system i have ever had to work with

    train employees and mentor them into the company as they are the future of BORAL

    Pros

    Some good people, above average salaries, can promote quickly if you are a performer.

    Cons

    Over processed
    People block you from performing
    Boys club mentality amoungst older staff
    Employees dont embrace change well
    Pushback from other divisions
    Lack of support
    Alot of redundancies annually
    Silo operation
    Poor communication from senior management
    No accountability
    No collaboration
    Constant cosst cutting leaves gaps.

    Advice to Management

    Learn to communicate better with all levels of employees regardless of status. Remove Silo operating and allign kpi's so that divisions are working together to achieve the same result. Really believe company objective and try and make it a positive experience for your customers to deal with Boral.
