    Pros

Decent pay. Steady work. Lots of support.

    Cons

Just a place to work. If you want to slide into a position that you can just cruise without any challenge, then this is the place for you.

    Advice to Management

It's ok not not be the biggest distributor in the world. Also, stop throwing ESOP in employees faces constantly.

I worked at Border States Electric full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

I worked for border states for over 20 years and enjoyed most of them they have profit sharing which is huge

    Cons

They tend to run very lean to make up for the money they waste

    Advice to Management

Honesty is still the best policy. You shouldnt let an employee go because they told the truth, when pushed into whistleblowing by upper management and told not to worry about any retaliation by my manager yet within six months I was demoted and when i didnt agree with decision and requested a meeting with human resources was let go the day before my meeting

    Pros

Opportunities to move up are available to anyone who applies themselves. The company is willing to relocate you if there is a position available at the location you want.

    Cons

Training can take too long to reach everyone. I was a CSR for over two years before I got my first training workshop for this position.

    Advice to Management

Offer a training sign up website for employees who want or feel the need for certain training instead of potentially sending some people who may not need the training right away.

    No opinion of CEO

I worked at Border States Electric full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Helpful coworkers. They are always willing to help out as they all know it takes months to learn the outdated systems.

    Cons

Compensation rates do not meet market levels. Zero flexibility with work hours. Mundane and monotonous tasks. Unchallenging work. Bland office culture.

    Advice to Management

Remove the name 'Sourcing' from the title Alliance Sourcing Specialist since there's little to no actual sourcing tasks being executed. It is not fair to the employees to have a title that does not reflect their job description and it is misleading to external applicants.
