I have been working at BorgWarner full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Full time with benifits. Good starting pay for the area. Opportunity for advancement. Profit sharing bonus. company building for future.

    Cons

Have to work off shift second, third or weekend. About fifteen year wait for day shift. Rushed through training. Kinda like your just a number a lot of people employed there. Breaks are to short.

    Advice to Management

Take more time with training. Less meetings more time spent with employees discussing current issues on production floor. Long breaks are needed.

I worked at BorgWarner as an intern (Less than a year)

    Pros

Enjoyed just about every minute working here. If you like a fast-paced environment, have an interest in the automotive industry, and enjoy a balance between hands on projects and computer work then BorgWarner is the place for you.

    Cons

Communication seemed to be an issue and lacked between departments.

    Pros

Amazing co-op program. Morse Systems located in Ithaca, NY is a huge campus where everyone is intelligent, kind, and resourceful.

    Cons

Not the job, but the location for me was to rural.

    Advice to Management

    Keep up the good work!

I have been working at BorgWarner full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

I don't have much to say that's positive.

    Cons

I have worked at BorgWarner for 5 years. I have been an exceedingly hard worker. Because of the management and the relationships they have with some of their workers the ones that work hard get a held to a different level of expectations. The harder you work the more they expect. It is a job that requires repetitive motion, then the penalize you when you get hurt. All in all I feel like I wasted 5 years of my life and all I got is serious injuries.

I have been working at BorgWarner full-time

    Pros

    Good pay and decent benefits.

    Cons

Its obvious that the company is not happy that this facility is the only remaining union plant. There is some VERY bad supervisors and HR doesn't seem to care. A lot of favoritism and game playing. I actually took a pay cut to get away from a particular supervisor. Not enough rotation between jobs in the ETC facility.

    Advice to Management

Clean up your upper level personnel and rotate your people weekly in ETC.

I worked at BorgWarner as an intern (Less than a year)

    Pros

Wonderful place to work, I was well trained by my superiors and it was an overall excellent experience. Would highly recommend.

    Cons

Very few cons, some paperwork made parts of my job mundane, but otherwise it was very fast paced and an upbeat environment.

    Pros

Easy going but hard working atmosphere, people treated each other with great respect, as a co-op I gained valuable knowledge and experience in product development

    Cons

For a co-op the work flow was a little inconsistent

I worked at BorgWarner as an intern (More than a year)

    Pros

Great place to work, lots to learn, friendly people.

    Cons

    Sometimes monotonous work was required.

    Advice to Management

Co-op program needs more organization. It would be great to have an assigned mentor. I was lucky enough to find an engineer who kind of unofficially did this, but I know many other co-ops felt they lacked guidance.
