    Pros

This was a spectacular experiance and the pay was good. I learned a ton to take back to college with me and apply.

    Cons

I had a lot of down time. Like nothing to do and no one to give me work. That was a big turn off for me.

    Advice to Management

Just make sure that you are ready for an intern. We want to learn. we are here to do more than just make your coffee and run your errands

    Pros

Positive environment and fun and energetic co workers. Work hard play hard mindset with opportunity for personal and professional growth.

    Cons

High expectations from colleagues, customers and management. Not atypical of the automotive industry and the challenges are nothing more than opportunities for development.

    Advice to Management

Continue the current path of portfolio diversification.

    Pros

The Co-Op program at Borg Warner definitely prepared me for what would come when I entered the industry. They do a very good job at introducing you to a corporate environment. Every single person that I had the chance to work with was very nice and really wanted to see you succeed.

    Cons

Management is very old at Borg Warner, so they aren't the most progressive company in the world. Also, when I had concerns about a certain design choice, some of the full-time engineers would agree with my concerns, but when I would bring those concerns to the manager, I was always met with a lack luster answer. I am fine with being wrong, but I didn't get enough information from management to know why they went with a certain design choice. The management of the department I worked is why I decided to not return for a third rotation. It is a great Co-Op program, but I can't see myself working there full-time.

    Advice to Management

I realize I don't have a ton of experience, but I think it would be beneficial to be more forward thinking. Don't just think about current product. Think about where things are headed.
