I have been working at Bosch Rexroth full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Good medical and retirement benefits. HSA is excellent, pension program and 401k with one of the best employer matches out there.

    Cons

Management is atrocious. No communication to Assembly workers, often make threats to fire or write an employee up if they do not meet the production numbers for the day, often talk down to employees, push assemblers to go above and beyond production quota so management can get big bonuses.

No incentive for assemblers who meet quotas, pay is very low for the type of work done and the top pay is a joke. Top pay is a little under 18 and it can take years to get there. No sick time which means being sick can get you an occurrence.

Management often walks around and yells at people while playing games on their phones. They quality of the people they hire from the temp services are a joke and often don’t want to work. It takes an act of Congress to fire a trash employee.

Meanwhile the good employees with excellent work ethic and great knowledge on the job suffer from no praise, no wage increases, no bonuses and no appreciation at all for the job done which leads them to leave for places like 3M, BMW or Michelin.

    Advice to Management

When your employees break a plant record and push out more pumps then at any other time in the plants history don’t look at them during the meeting and tell them they need to do better or else.

All the signs are there, your turnover rate is at 25-30 percent. It’s pretty obvious what you need to do. Get better management, actually pay your employees what they deserve or keep losing them to area plants that pay 25-32 an hour and actually treat them with respect.

I worked at Bosch Rexroth full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Not many pros - wish I would have left sooner than I did. There are a lot of better opportunities out there!

    Cons

Poor management, stuck in old management styles, not adaptive to change, expectations versus pay are very lopsided, HR is condescending and rude, poor processes for everything

    Advice to Management

Open your eyes to 2017 and take advice from the younger generations.
