I have been working at Boston Children's Hospital full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Great mission; easy to see the value of the organization's work day-in and day-out. Nice benefits including discounts at many local businesses. Challenging, fast-paced work and you're encouraged to pursue professional development opportunities.

    Cons

Conservative and top-heavy culture. Many departments have a glut of managers and senior managers with not enough people producing. Very difficult to introduce change.

    I worked at Boston Children's Hospital full-time

    Pros

Gives you perspective on life. My role was behind the scenes, but walking through the hospital always put things in perspective. The place is full of scared families and kids from around the world. You think you're having a bad day? You're not.

I worked along side of the best physicians in their field. While there were definitely some egos, it was still an experience of a lifetime for me.

    Cons

Lots of bureaucracy. Took a long time to get things done.

    Advice to Management

Don't get rid of Prouty Garden!
