Current Employee - Lead Patient Experience Representative in Boston, MA

I have been working at Boston Children's Hospital full-time for more than 20 years

        Pros

Working in this organization can give one a sense of accomplishment, and cause one to humble themselves. Helping the patients and families are the number one priority.

        Cons

Very difficult to advance within the organization. Managers and upper-level leadership don't promote from within they tend to look elsewhere. It is who you know, and sometimes that does not matter. Their pay scale is below average compared to other leading hospitals.

        Advice to Management

Consider encouraging your staff and uplift them. Be more transparent and recognize their worth and value to promote.
