    Pros

Get needed iv room experience, the pay if you're used to retail paychecks... networking and experience with "the #1 hospital" in the country....

    Cons

department supervisors have sexual harassment claims that they keep sweeping under the rug, hostile racist enviroment, (listening to supervisors and RPHs praise Trump) , while some pharmacists treat the over- worked techs like garbage.

    Advice to Management

Fire and replace incompetent middle management that will continually get you sued otherwise.

I have been working at Boston Children's Hospital full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

co-workers, supervisor, and friends made here

    Cons

Very low pay, no recognition, no support from management....

    Advice to Management

The CEO and everyone who directly works with her have fallen short and completely failed the staff here, the merit based raises you give are a complete joke.

My dept only got 2.75% while our health insurance went up 5%! Thanks for taking more money from us to work here and pay our benefits!

Management spends more money on stupid projects and buildings that go nowhere and are only concerned about what they want, not the morale of the workers who keep this place running and have sacrificed their nights, weekends, holidays, and free time to do more work for this place.

Start acting like you care! Dr. Mandell did, how come you don't????

I worked at Boston Children's Hospital (More than a year)

    Pros

Incredible mission, 75% of people were really great people to work with, good benefits,

    Cons

Combative, Defensive, Unprofessional, Manipulative -- Senior leadership in the Marketing department really struggles to create an environment that is productive and motivating. The wrong people are rewarded and aggressive, immature and unprofessional behavior will continue to exist until HR steps in to change this. It is unfortunate because there are some really smart and passionate people in the mid-management and junior levels, but they will continue to leave as long as this culture remains as is. I would never recommend this place to anyone who does not want to spend half their days arguing or defending their expertise.

    Advice to Management

Take action to make this department less political and less combative. Be more clear with what expectations are and allow people to make some decisions without having to constantly defend work, especially when it is subjective.

    I worked at Boston Children's Hospital full-time

    Pros

You can feel the mission at work everyday. You have the opportunity to see up close and personal, the amazing work that the hospital does, the lives saved etc.

    Cons

The senior leadership in Marketing is mean and downright nasty. Leader is punitive and beyond disrespectful. Leader has no vision, doesn't know what she wants and treats people like they are mere objects to use and abuse. Means girls attitude is an understatement. Take this as a warning, smart people don't last more than one year here.

    Advice to Management

If you want to change culture, remove leaders who demonstrate their ineptness and lack of leadership abilities. Take note of the over 50% turnover rate annually and make a change.
