I worked at Boston Children's Hospital as an intern

    Pros

The vast majority of employees are passionate about their work and value interdisciplinary collaboration, which makes the demands of the job more managable. The support staff are extremely competent, easy to work with, and great with patients. The patients and families are also great - diverse range of presenting concerns from a wide range of backgrounds.

    Cons

As expected with all large systems, some politics gets in the way of making change that could lead to improvements in some areas.

I worked at Boston Children's Hospital full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Great place to work, High quality Science, Very good Benefits

    Cons

No real Cons, I would say the system is designed to help MDs/ MD.PhDs more than PhDs

I worked at Boston Children's Hospital as an intern

    Pros

Collaborative laboratory environment, the cafeteria food was nicely discounted for employees, hospital-wide bonding events were lovely, and the process of getting my badge was super fast!

    Cons

Staff that was in charge of processing documents (for access to certain parts of the hospital) could be slow, but I imagine that's due to sheer size of the hospital

    Advice to Management

I have no real advice. I can't formulate any implementable suggestions (as a simple intern researcher) but anything that expedites the processing of documents?
