    Pros

    For the most part Boston College is full of caring individuals who make wonderful colleagues, particular those who work in non-academic administrative positions.

    Cons

    As a graduate employee, it was hard not to feel slighted throughout my years at BC. I taught undergraduates for several years, as well as worked other part time jobs in offices that undertook initiatives which came directly out of the President's office. But there was little room for professional growth in these positions, and not a lot of incentive beyond wanting to pay the bills for another year.

    Advice to Management

    Some sort of incentive grants, or more careful delineation of graduate worker rights would have made the experience more enjoyable. As it is, my time at the Heights ultimately left me with a bitter taste in my mouth, as I feel like the university used me quite a bit and then left me to find my own way.

    Professional work environment, departments are very good at communicating with one another and staying connected

    Cons

    Work environment can be slow at times, tasks can be mundane but these are normal in most work environments.

    Pros

    A good place to work as a student as long as you put effort into being there. Staff wants to see you do well and be able to write a good rec for you.

    Cons

    Work study pay is what it is. Teaching lessons at the pool is some of the highest pay you can get on campus.
