I worked at Boston Consulting Group as an intern (Less than a year)

    Pros

From assistants to partners, the people at BCG are incredible. Everyone I met was intelligent and friendly, and my team-members were always willing to help and mentor me. The learning curve is steep, but I was fortunate to have a team that helped me adapt quickly to the job. All in all my VA-ship was a great learning opportunity.

    Cons

Be prepared to travel and work 75 to 80-hour weeks. With the hours, you will be earning less than €8/hour. While my coworkers claimed there was no "face time", there was still an unspoken expectation that you stay up working until the bulk of everyone's work is done. At the end of the VA-ship, your return offer is ultimately decided by HR rather than your project leader and mentor. The concluding conversation was therefore impersonal and the HR assessment did not seem aligned with the feedback received from my team.

    Advice to Management

Increase VA compensation. Improve coordination between HR and project leader for the final decision and concluding conversation.

I have been working at Boston Consulting Group full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Hohes Gehalt, tolle Kollegen, viele "Goodies" (Business Flüge innerdeutsch, tolle Hotels, Teamevents), unglaublich cooles Office

    Cons

Up or Out Prinzip, Extremer Druck immer alles "Schönzureden"

    Advice to Management

I worked at Boston Consulting Group full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Super Kollegen, perfekt ausgestattetes Arbeitsumfeld, komfortables Reisen, tolle Lage, Vielfalt an Themen und Schwerpunkten, die man theoretisch wählen kann, flache Hierarchien

    Cons

    Advice to Management
