I have been working at Boston Consulting Group full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Amazing culture, benefits, and career opportunities. The learning curve is absolutely amazing, extraordinary team diversity. Tremendous growth opportunities both within and outside BCG. By far best MBB in Italy, well diversified over the different industries.

    Cons

Long hours, travelling. Junior resources might feel overhelmed by the complexity / high pace of first assignments. Effective up or out growth model, with potential impacts on the level of stress of the "average-performers"

    Advice to Management

Keep investing to improve worklife balance.

I worked at Boston Consulting Group

    Pros

BCG is a terrific management consultancy all around the world. The people are generally good, and there are many occasions to learn. Projects are done usually with repeat clients, and are very analytical and organizational in nature.

    Cons

I would not recommend to work in the Italian office. The culture is quite isolated from the other offices, and it is not really open to internationalization. Hours are too many compared to the compensation, but there is not much alternative in Italy.

    Advice to Management

Definitely needs to open to other offices and to the culture of a bigger zone. In itself, the Italian office is very self-contained, and reflects the personalities of the partners.
