I have been working at Boston Consulting Group full-time for less than a year

    Pros

Non-consulting tracks are great for those who want to settle down with not so competitive pay, minimum hours of work, and great benefits for the family. Truly very smart people (most are on the consulting track of course) to work with.

    Cons

Non-consulting tracks are career suicides for those who want to aim high. Minimal team work, second class to consultants, and minimal transferal skills outside of research roles. Internal processes are extremely manual and time consuming. Hard to defend in front of clients when they pay big bucks for digital strategy but there is nothing digital going on within the firm.

I have been working at Boston Consulting Group full-time for more than 10 years

    Pros

Meritocracy, respect for your work and what you know, no division between knowledge team and consulting staff. Flaxible on where you work after you have established yourself.

    Cons

New KT model leaves less room for what was once thought exceptional. The way the model is implemented varies by the manager implementing and by region. EU team thriving, AMR and AP less so.

    Advice to Management

The model works in the EU because the officers support their KT. In the AMR it is less successful because the Officers let the KT fend for themselves, or are not invited to case assignments.

    Pros

Nice for travelling and work with top clients. Nothing else.

    Cons

Senior management of former DAAS now Gamma Services are offered low salaries so you get as manager whatever rubbish is left in the market.

    Advice to Management

Resign and go back to the third class companies you belong to.
